I'm leaving in a few hours for the big AKC trial in Springfield. I may somehow manage to find AgileBC's when I'm there. It's going to be crazy nuts but all the big wigs will be doing ISC which is why I'm going. I'm not counting on Whisper qualifying because of the weaves but we'll see.

You know that the trial doesn't start until tomorrow, right? You're going to be early! I'll be there all day Saturday - getting Dash worked on at 8am but then I don't run until probably after 11am. I'll look for you.

Hey, wait!!!!!! Does anyone know if that vendor who sold crate mats still sells them? They are 100% washable with batting for filler, and very cushy. The ones I had were native american prints. I need more of those, and the ones I found at other places pale in comparison! If you are shopping, can you get his card/info for me? Please please please??? Those mats are awesome- I had one for 10 years!!!!

Good luck on your runs- I always loved watching the trials there- is there still obedience? Who's judging agility?

I do - we're leaving from LI so I have to drive there and we're taking the ferry and we plan to set up tonight so we can get crating space. I'll look for you and Dash. We're in Ex JWW and Standard 16" so we'll probably be able to see you run on Saturday after we go. We're in the same ring - 20's and 16's.

Who's working on Dash? Is Debbie going to be there? Crap, I should have made an appointment. I didn't have time to get her to NJ before we left.

As for the mats, I'll look for them. Yes, there is conformation and obedience. I'm not sure about the judges. My trial schedule is packed already.

Not running Dash, just Jet (in 20 B's). Dash has an iliopsoas injury and will be out for awhile. frown I'm very bummed because a friend from LI is going to be there and she owns his brother and I wanted her to see Dash run. Yes, Debbie's going to work on him. I think her schedule is booked! I think you can set up today after 4pm. Good luck tomorrow!

We're back. We had a great time! I got to see Agilebcs but didn't get to see her run. I had my second run and she hadn't even had her first. The 20" class was just too big and I lost track of when she was running. The same thing happened to me on Friday - my first run was at 2:30.

Whisper ran great for me all weekend. If she had done her weave poles, we would have come up with three Q's. But I didn't force her because it's the last trial before a long break and I just wanted to alleviate the stress of the weaves. But she was fast and fun to run and we had a great time.

Yesterday, I thought I wanted to stay for another day but by the end of yesterday, I was ready to go home.

Whisper looked great! You didn't miss much on my runs...in Standard we got that tough weave pole entry but then he popped out at pole #10 and in Jumpers I didn't pick him up soon enough out of the tunnel and he went around the next jump. I was happy overall though especially since the first time I trained him in 3-4 months was last Saturday! I got to the line late for my jumpers run and they made me go LAST in the class so my final run wasn't until 6:45. Then my battery in my car was dead...it was a long day.

It sounds like you did well considering the lack of training. That weave entry was hard. And I knew that Whisper could do the entry but she wouldn't weave after that. Then I sent her off course everywhere but she was having a blast. Sorry about your long day and your car.

Actually, I was almost late to my jumpers run. I think I was getting Whisper when I saw you. She had drunk so much water that I took her outside to see if she would squeeze out another pee and she started to poop - AGAIN! This is the dog who NEVER poops at shows and had done so three times on Friday and twice yesterday. It wasn't diarrhea. But it took her forever to go and then a piece got stuck in her butt hair and it was everywhere. I saw my classmate who was crated next to me and I sent her to my bag for baby wipes and she's screaming because I'm pulling her hair, trying to clean her butt. And it looked like I had 10 dogs to go but the gate wasn't crossing off the names and I got to the ring and I was next to go. It was quite stressful. We had a decent run. Considering all that, she was very happy and barking during her run. She wasn't fast but we had fun - we ran past the weaves.

Now I have a long winter ahead trying to break down what the heck is going on with the weave poles in a show.

I'm glad you guys had fun! Poor Whisper and the poopy butt, though frown That's just not a dignified thing for a princess to endure in front of an audience.

Is it wrong that I can't stop giggling at the thought of Whisper screaming about you pulling her butt hair? lol

Yeah, been there. Back in March Dash did the same thing. I sat his a$$ in a mud puddle to cover it up as I ran to the line...
